B&T NSW agency of the year 2020 - The Hallway wins

On Friday 20th November, The Hallway was awarded B&T’s NSW Agency of the Year in a era-defining event at the Hordern Pavilion.

As 600 excitable guests filled the pavilion, cleverly separated into two 300-person precincts by a Cold War era ‘Wall’, socially distanced and socially out of practice, it was unlike any other industry awards night in memory.

There was a touch of familiarity with The Chaser boys presenting, but Craig and Chris were also separated on stage, and the rival precincts were only aware of the other side’s mood and antics via the presenters’ commentary.

The B&T Awards were handed out by people in Hazmat suits. Nope, this was not a normal year.

The Hallway was shortlisted for three awards - NSW Agency of the Year, Independent Agency of the Year and People & Culture (under 100).

When we won NSW Agency of the Year, our gold-sequinned Office Manager, Kim Wilson, was despatched to collect the trophy on stage. She shone like a beacon.

It was a brilliant end to an emotional, intense year of separation, stress, uncertainty and ultimately, camaraderie.

Thanks to our clients, production partners, recruitment specialists, industry friends, advisors and freelancers who we collaborate with every day, and who support us through the craziness. Thanks also to the team from B&T and The Misfits for pulling off an innovative and hilariously weird event. Special thanks to the judges who gave up their time to assess our presentations.

And thanks to the brilliant team of Hallwynians - both present and our considerable alumni - who make the agency such a special place to belong.
