SYDNEY: Jameson Irish Whiskey has moved its digital account to new digital shop The Hallway, established recently by former Netx general manager Jules Hall.
The digital account of Jameson, part of the Pernod Ricard stable, is The Hallway’s foundation client and was previously held by Mercer Bell.
“We are extremely excited to be partnering with Jameson Irish Whiskey,” a statement from The Hallway read. “Not only is it a fantastic brand but, but it is a vindication of our agency model. Jameson is a classic example of a brand whose consumers are primarily consuming media through digital channels. It makes absolute sense to put interactive experts at the heart of their strategic process.”
James Slack, general manager and sales & marketing of spirits at Pernod Ricard Australia, said The Hallway was a “truly innovative agency concept”.
“As a client I am regularly by specialist agencies, but they are always aligned to media deliverables, not the consumer. The beauty of The Hallway is they have put the consumer at the heart of their business model.”
Merivale Group which operates a number of pubs and hotels, is the agency’s second client, having contracted The Hallway to conduct a strategic marketing review.
